Uzbekistan, Türkiye Strengthen Pharmaceutical Ties in High-Level Talks

Director of the Uzbek Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency Abdulla Azizov has held a meeting with Ufuk Ulutaş, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Uzbekistan, to discuss expanding cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.

As part of the visit, the Turkish delegation toured the Tashkent Pharma Park, an advanced innovation and production technopark aimed at accelerating pharmaceutical development in the country, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

The two sides explored a wide range of collaborative opportunities, including:

Attracting Turkish investment into Uzbekistan’s growing pharmaceutical sector;

Strengthening scientific research and academic exchange;

Enhancing training and capacity-building for pharmaceutical professionals;

Facilitating halal certification of pharmaceutical products;

Supporting the export and promotion of Uzbek pharmaceutical products to Turkish and other global markets.

The officials agreed to jointly develop concrete projects in these areas and to continue close coordination through their respective institutions and agencies.
