Uzbekistan, US Launch Business and Investment Council

Uzbekistan and the US have officially set the stage for deeper economic collaboration with the launch of the US-Uzbek Business and Investment Council.

Ahead of the council’s official kickoff, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva, visiting the US, met with Co-chair of the US-Uzbek Business and Investment Council, Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor, to discuss key business cooperation initiatives between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports via Mirziyoyeva's message on Telegram.

Mirziyoyeva wrote that she had a productive meeting in Washington, D.C., with her colleague and co-chair of the US-Uzbek Business and Investment Council, Ambassador Sergio Gor, during which they discussed key issues of business collaboration between their countries. She noted that the meeting preceded the official launch of the council.

She added that the platform would serve as an effective venue for further strengthening business ties between Uzbekistan and the US, supported by the strong political will of the two presidents.

The council is expected to accelerate investment opportunities, foster public-private partnerships, and expand trade relations, marking a new chapter in US-Uzbek economic cooperation.
