Uzbekistan Drops Out of Global “Most Delicious Cuisine” Ranking

Uzbekistan is no longer listed among the world’s top culinary destinations, according to the 2025 update of the World Population Review ranking.

The country, which occupied one of the lowest spots in 2024, did not make the list this year, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Leading the ranking are Greece, Italy, and Mexico, recognized once again for having the most flavorful and beloved cuisines worldwide. Other countries in the top 10 include Türkiye, Spain, Portugal, Indonesia, France, Japan, and China.

On the opposite end, Nicaragua, Laos, and Bolivia were rated the least tasty. In the full ranking of 99 countries, regional neighbors received mixed results: Russia took 34th place, ahead of most CIS nations, while Georgia ranked 30th. Ukraine placed 43rd, Belarus 75th, Lithuania 39th, Latvia 78th, and Azerbaijan 56th. Meanwhile, Armenia and Kazakhstan landed near the bottom at 92nd and 93rd place, respectively.

Notably, Uzbekistan, along with Kyrgyzstan and Moldova, fell out of the ranking entirely in 2025, highlighting the competitive and subjective nature of culinary preferences, which were based on roughly 400,000 personal reviews.
