An explosion followed by a fire broke out at a gas filling station in Denau, Uzbekistan, raising safety concerns and prompting a rapid emergency response.

The incident occurred in the Surkhandarya Region during the transfer of propane from a tanker truck, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

According to reports, a flash ignited while gas was being pumped from a specialized KamAZ vehicle, triggering the blaze.

Emergency services were alerted via the “112” system at 08:24 (GMT+5). Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire just minutes later, preventing further escalation.

Preliminary findings suggest the explosion may have been caused by a violation of technological procedures during the fuel transfer process. Authorities are now investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
