Uzbekistan and Vietnam are moving to deepen economic cooperation following high-level talks held in Hanoi during a visit by an Uzbek working group led by Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Ilzat Kasimov.
During the visit, the delegation held bilateral negotiations with several leading Vietnamese corporations across key areas of mutual interest, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Talks with Masan Group focused on prospects for cooperation in the extraction and processing of critical minerals, while discussions with Sovico Group explored potential partnerships in transport, urban development, tourism, and the banking and financial sector.
Special attention was given to accelerating the implementation of ongoing projects with ROX Group in tourism and urban development. The Uzbek delegation also held meetings with Vingroup and its subsidiaries VinHomes, VinPearl, and VinFast, discussing the preparation and launch of investment projects in priority sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy.
As a result of the talks, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan and Vingroup signed an agreement on developing bilateral cooperation.
Officials said the visit aims to expand practical engagement between the two countries, attract direct investment, and launch new investment and industrial cooperation projects.
