Uzbekistan Welcomes Slovak President on Working Visit

At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Slovakia Peter Pellegrini has arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit.

At Samarkand International Airport, the Slovak leader was warmly welcomed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and other senior officials, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

During his visit, Pellegrini will hold high-level talks in Samarkand to discuss new prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Slovakia.

The Slovak president will also attend the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference as an honored guest, which opens on October 30.
