The Armenian government has approved the establishment of a military attaché position at its embassy in Poland, according to a decision adopted at a Cabinet meeting.

The new position is intended to strengthen and expand defense cooperation between Armenia and Poland, improve coordination and give fresh momentum to joint initiatives in the defense sector, Armenia Today.

Armenia and Poland established diplomatic relations on February 26, 1992, and have since developed political, economic, cultural and interparliamentary cooperation.

In recent years, security and defense cooperation has become an increasingly important part of bilateral ties. In February 2026, Armenia and Poland signed an agreement on military-technical cooperation covering areas including defense research, information exchange and cooperation between defense companies.

The two countries have also expanded cooperation in military education, training and the exchange of experience.
