Armenia plans to spend around $3.6 million on celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of its independence, according to a government decision.
Concerts dedicated to the anniversary will be held in Kapan, Goris, Vanadzor, Gyumri, Ijevan and Yerevan, according to news.am.
The largest event is scheduled to take place in Yerevan on September 21, Armenia’s Independence Day. The concert will feature the National Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Academic Choir of Armenia named after Hovhannes Chekijian, as well as a number of popular music performers.
The nationwide celebrations are expected to bring the 35th anniversary of Armenia’s independence to stages across several major cities.
