Armenian ex-President Robert Kocharyan has been placed under arrest for two months following a ruling by a judge of the Anti-Corruption Court.
The decision came after a lengthy seven-hour court hearing. Kocharyan was later hospitalized after reportedly experiencing a deterioration in his health, according to RBC.
He is accused of illegally acquiring property in coordination with individuals close to him.
Earlier, a court also ordered the arrest of his son, Sedrak Kocharyan, in connection with the case.
