Armenian ex-President Robert Kocharyan will not enter into any deal with the authorities, Bagrat Mikoyan, head of the former president’s office, said.
He also said Kocharyan’s latest detention is the ex-president’s fourth period in custody, according to Sputnik Armenia.
Mikoyan noted that Kocharyan has previously spent months in pretrial detention and does not view his current detention as a personal tragedy.
The ex-president’s office chief quoted Kocharyan as saying that “tragic things are actually happening to the country.”
Mikoyan also said the arrest would not break Kocharyan, describing his position as unchanged despite the ongoing legal proceedings.
