Protests in Iran Halt Tehran–Yerevan Flights Both Ways

Amid large-scale protests sweeping across Iran, flights between Tehran and Yerevan have been cancelled in both directions.

The last scheduled flight from the Iranian capital was expected to be made in Yerevan at 5:15 p.m. (GMT+4), while the return flight to Tehran was set to be made at 6:15 p.m., The Caspian Post reports via Armenian media.

Both flights were ultimately cancelled due to the unfolding situation.

Protests in Iran have been ongoing for nearly two weeks, triggered by the sharp devaluation of the national currency and a surge in prices. The unrest has spread to multiple cities across the country.

Some media reports claim that more than 210 people have been killed in clashes between protesters and security forces, underscoring the growing scale and intensity of the crisis.
