Azerbaijan and UN Discuss 2026–2030 Cooperation Framework

Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, met with United Nations Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva on the occasion of the completion of her mission in the country.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation between the Azerbaijani government and the UN within the implementation of the Framework Document on Sustainable Development Cooperation for 2026-2030, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

It was noted that the document serves as an important basis for a future-oriented partnership in line with Azerbaijan's national priorities and makes a significant contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular “Sustainable Cities and Communities.”

Anar Guliyev thanked Vladanka Andreeva for her personal efforts and constructive partnership during her tenure as Resident Coordinator.

The parties also highlighted the holding of National Urban Forums in Garabagh and East Zangezur, as well as the fruitful dialogue conducted during preparations for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum.
