Representatives of Azerbaijan and Armenia have discussed prospects for cross-border electricity trade and the synchronization of their energy infrastructure.

A working meeting was held in Lachin between representatives of Azerbaijan’s Azərenerji, the Ministry of Energy, Armenia’s Electric Power System Operator and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Azertac reports.

The sides explored options for importing and exporting electricity between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The meeting also focused on possible ways to synchronize the energy infrastructure of the two countries along their state border to facilitate cross-border electricity exchanges.
