Azerbaijan, China Discuss Gobustan Solar Power Project

Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov held a meeting with President of China’s Universal Energy Company Nan Yi.

The discussions focused on the construction progress of the Gobustan Solar Power Plant - the first auction based renewable energy project with a capacity of 100 MW, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Energy Ministry.

The officials commended the installation of the first panel of the plant completed today.

The discussions also addressed the opportunities for expanding cooperation, as well as the Universal Energy’s experience in long-term and safe energy storage technologies.
