Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and North Macedonia’s Ministry of Sports have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation in sports.

The agreement was signed during a visit to Azerbaijan by a delegation led by North Macedonian Sports Minister Borko Ristovski, according to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Youth and Sports.

As part of the visit, the delegation visited the grave of Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Ristovski then held talks with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov. The sides discussed prospects for expanding sports cooperation, increasing the exchange of experience and implementing joint initiatives.

The memorandum is expected to provide a framework for closer cooperation between the two countries in the field of sports.
