Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Hosts Comprehensive Legal Workshop for Military Lawyers

According to the 2025 action plan, a training and methodological session has been held with lawyers from various branches of the Azerbaijan Army, including main departments, army corps and formations, as well as chiefs and investigators of investigative services, alongside officers of the Legal Department of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

The session opened with a tribute to the memory of Azerbaijani National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan, followed by the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

Major General Elchin Aliyev, Chief of the Legal Department, provided detailed insights on measures taken to improve the social and living conditions of servicemen and highlighted efforts to update legislative acts within the Azerbaijan Army in accordance with the Ministry’s directives. He also emphasized initiatives to strengthen discipline in military units, prevent legal violations, organize legal and international humanitarian law training for servicemen, and develop draft legal documents.

The session aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in organizing legal training and understanding legislative and guiding documents. Discussions focused on the practical application of legal documents in service processes, upcoming tasks, and future plans in the field, with participants given the opportunity to ask questions and receive clarifications.
