Iraq, Gambia, Morocco, Mozambique and Burkina Faso are interested in adopting Azerbaijan’s ASAN Service model to improve government services, increase transparency and make public services more accessible to citizens.
Representatives of the five countries visited an ASAN Service center to learn about its operations, the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan reports.
Delegations from Uzbekistan also visited the center. The representatives arrived in Baku to attend the third High-Level Meeting of Heads of Law Enforcement Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) responsible for combating corruption.
Ulvi Mehdiyev, chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations, briefed the visiting delegations on the activities of ASAN Service centers, established at the initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, as well as the country’s latest innovations in public service delivery.
Participants were also informed that Azerbaijan cooperates with more than 50 countries through the international promotion of the ASAN Service model as an intellectual product.
Representatives of Iraq, Gambia, Morocco, Mozambique and Burkina Faso praised the model’s innovative approach, operational principles and role as an effective reform in combating corruption.
“They emphasized their interest in using Azerbaijan’s advanced experience and implementing the model in their own countries to improve public services, increase transparency and ensure greater accessibility for citizens,” the agency said.
During their visit, participants in the international event also learned about the activities of INNOLAND, a center for incubation and acceleration, the mobile ASAN Service, and ABAD, a public legal entity supporting family businesses and entrepreneurship.
The visits provided an opportunity for foreign delegations to explore Azerbaijan’s experience in digital innovation, public administration and improving access to government services.
