Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev on Monday held a one-on-one meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Baku, The Caspian Post reports, citing AZERTAC.

The meeting then proceeded in an expanded format with the participation of the Azerbaijani and Italian delegations.

Italian PM Meloni arrived in Azerbaijan on a visit today.

A guard of honor was lined up for the Italian premier at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

PM Meloni was welcomed by Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov and other officials.
