Azerbaijani female wrestler Ruzanna Mammadova has advanced to the final of the U20 World Wrestling Championships in Samokov, Bulgaria.

Mammadova secured her place in the gold medal match by defeating Türkiye’s Büşra Efe in the semifinal. She is set to face China’s Yangzhen in the women’s 59 kg final on August 21, The Caspian Post informs via local media.

The U20 World Wrestling Championships is an annual international tournament that brings together the world’s top junior wrestlers, offering athletes under 20 a platform to compete at the highest level.
