The captain of an Airbus A350 operating Finnair’s Bangkok-Helsinki flight requested permission for an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport after a passenger experienced a sudden health issue during the flight.
The crew immediately decided to divert the flight, which successfully landed in Baku at 19:44 local time (GMT +4), The Caspian Post reports, citing the airport.
Airport medical services promptly provided first aid to the passenger, and further medical procedures are currently underway.
Heydar Aliyev International Airport stated that it continues to ensure operational coordination in line with international standards, maintaining flight safety and passenger well-being across all operations.
