Final preparations are underway in Azerbaijan’s capital as Baku prepares to host the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), with authorities stepping up efforts across infrastructure, security, and visitor services in the lead-up to the global gathering, according to an Euronews report, The Caspian Post informs.
More than 28,000 participants and around 1,000 media representatives are expected to attend the event, which will feature 40 main sessions and 350 partner-led events.
Organisers are adapting the Olympic Stadium into a large-scale conference venue, while transport authorities expand bus lanes and electric fleets to improve mobility.
Police are increasing safety measures and digital monitoring systems, while tourism authorities are preparing tailored tours to showcase the country’s cultural landmarks.
