Technical Malfunction Forces Lufthansa Jet to Land in Azerbaijan

A Lufthansa aircraft operating a flight from Frankfurt to Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Azerbaijan's capital Baku due to a technical malfunction.

The Boeing 787, operating as flight LH760, requested an emergency landing on August 25 after the crew detected a technical issue on board, Kazinform reports.

The aircraft landed safely at Heydar Aliyev International Airport at 23:26 (GMT+4).

“All necessary measures were taken by the relevant airport services, and the safety of the passengers and crew members was ensured,” the statement said.

No injuries or further details about the nature of the technical malfunction were immediately reported.
