Azerbaijani Cinema Days Held in Istanbul

Istanbul hosted the Days of Azerbaijani Cinema from May 12 to 14, as part of a joint project by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture, the Azerbaijan Cinema Agency (ARKA), and the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The event was supported by the Azerbaijan Cultural Center (ACC) under the Azerbaijani Embassy in Türkiye, The Caspian Post reports citing Azertac.

Samir Abbasov, ACC Director, highlighted that three films - “Paradise Dream” directed by Elkhan Jafarov, “Monologue of a Lonely Man” directed by Emin Afandiyev, and “Red Garden” directed by Mirbala Salimli - were screened for Turkish audiences at Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul University, and the Atlas Cinema.

During their visit, the Azerbaijani delegation also discussed cooperation opportunities with officials from the General Directorate of Cinema of Türkiye’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
