Baku Hosts Official Reception to Celebrate Egypt's National Day

Addressing the event, Doaa Abdelazeim Ahmed Shehata Egypt's Chargé d'Affaires in Azerbaijan, highlighted the recent dynamic development of the Azerbaijan-Egypt relations, adding that reciprocal visits and bilateral meetings between the heads of state contributed significantly to the enhancement of bilateral ties.

On July 23, a reception was held in Baku to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of Egypt's Revolution Day, marking the country's National Day.

He also underscored the successful bilateral collaboration in regional and international platforms, namely the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He expressed his confidence for Azerbaijan’s successful hosting of the upcoming 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), reaffirming Egypt’s readiness to assist Azerbaijan on this track, The Caspian Post reports citing AZERTAC.

In his remarks, Rashad Nabiyev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport, emphasized that this year marks the 33rd anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He also highlighted the significant growth in trade turnover in the first half of 2025, comparing to the same period last year.

The event also featured the screening of a video highlighting Egypt’s history, culture, modern development and tourism potential.
