The delegation included representatives from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency, the Azerbaijan International Road Carriers Association, and various companies engaged in international freight transportation, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbekistan’s Transport Ministry.

As part of the visit, Azerbaijani experts reviewed the operations of the Digital Transport Center under Uzbekistan’s Transport Ministry.

During meetings with Uzbek counterparts, the two sides exchanged knowledge and experiences regarding reforms in urban public transport systems and the implementation of digital solutions. Particular attention was given to the introduction and regulation of dedicated bus lanes, as well as mechanisms for monitoring their usage.

The delegation also addressed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in international road freight transport, increasing the participation of national carriers, and enhancing links between transport companies from both countries.

During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation also met with local freight carriers and inspected modern infrastructure at the "Yalama" and "Dovut Ota" border checkpoints.

Both sides discussed opportunities to deepen the integration of platforms for electronic permit issuance, digital cargo flow monitoring, and the automation of border checkpoints.

Participants emphasized the importance of advancing digital transformation through continuous dialogue with businesses, international partners, and government bodies to meet the growing demands of cargo flows and the global logistics market.
