The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has maintained its forecast for Azerbaijan’s oil production in 2026 at 550,000 barrels per day (bpd).

According to the EIA’s August edition of its “Short-Term Energy Outlook” report, Azerbaijan’s oil production is expected to reach 540,000 bpd in the third and fourth quarters of this year, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

The July forecast had indicated the same production level.

In the first and second quarters of 2025, Azerbaijan’s oil production stood at 570,000 bpd, while production in the third and fourth quarters amounted to 560,000 bpd.

According to the EIA, Azerbaijan’s liquid hydrocarbon production in 2025 is forecast at 570,000 bpd.
