Gas stations operated by the Kors and BRK chains in Russia's Transbaikal Krai will begin selling fuel to residents without any restrictions.

The announcement was made by the region's governor, Aleksandr Osipov, in a post on his Telegram channel, The Caspian Post reports.

"Starting tomorrow, Kors and BRK gas stations in Transbaikal will sell fuel to residents without restrictions, 24/7," Osipov wrote.

On the previous day, Kors and BRK gas stations in Transbaikal Krai had raised the fuel purchase limit to 20 liters per vehicle. Those restrictions had been in place since June 25, when limits on fuel sales were introduced across the region.

A state of heightened readiness has remained in effect in Transbaikal since the restrictions were first imposed.
