Batumi will host the Georgia International Maritime Forum (GIMF 2026) on September 7-8, bringing together senior officials and industry leaders to discuss the future of regional maritime transport.

The event will be held with the support of Georgia’s Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Maritime Transport Agency, according to Georgia Online.

The forum aims to strengthen Georgia’s position as a maritime country, promote the development of the Middle Corridor and expand regional transport connectivity.

Ministers, senior representatives of maritime administrations, international organizations, financial institutions, the private sector and academia are expected to attend.

The agenda will focus on maritime connectivity, international governance, transport security and the development of regional transport corridors.

GIMF 2026 is expected to provide a platform for discussing new opportunities to strengthen Georgia’s role in regional trade and transportation networks.
