The Tbilisi City Court has sentenced former head of Georgia’s State Security Service Grigol Liluashvili to 13 years in prison on bribery charges.

Liluashvili was charged with receiving a particularly large bribe as part of a group acting under a prior agreement, The Caspian Post reports, citing Sputnik Georgia.

Investigators also linked him to protecting the activities of call centers.

Liluashvili was arrested on December 23, 2025. He has denied the charges.
