Georgia has appointed veteran diplomat Beka Dvali as its new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the State of Israel.
Dvali brings decades of diplomatic experience, having served both at the Georgian Foreign Ministry and in several overseas diplomatic missions, The Caspian Post reports via Georgia Online.
Since 2022, he has served as Georgia's ambassador to Australia. Before that, from 2012 to 2022, he was Georgia's ambassador to South Africa.
Over the course of his diplomatic career, Dvali has also held senior positions at Georgia's embassies in the United Kingdom and the United States. He has served as Deputy Director of the Foreign Ministry's European Integration Department and headed the UN Division within the Ministry's Department of International Organizations.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Dvali holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
