Kakha Kaladze, the General Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia party and Mayor of Tbilisi, dismissed the OSCE report on the republic, prepared under the "Moscow Mechanism," as utter nonsense.
The OSCE published the report on March 12, prepared under the "Moscow Mechanism," which was launched against Georgia in January 2026, The Caspian Post reports, citing foreign media.
The document states, in particular, that the republic's authorities should annul the laws on foreign agents and protection of family values, and hold new parliamentary elections under close international observer scrutiny.
"This is complete nonsense. I think everyone understands well why all this started and what is behind it: we are being asked to abolish the law on family values and protection of minors, asked to annul the transparency law, as well as the American FARA, and to act not in the interests of the country but in accordance with their wishes," Kaladze told Georgian journalists.
The politician noted that Georgia's authorities will do everything necessary for the country and its people. "The time is over when instructions and assignments came from outside and we made decisions with our heads bowed. We will act in the interests of the country," he emphasized.
According to Kaladze, Georgia's authorities will independently adopt whatever laws the country needs.
