The Georgian National Tourism Administration reported that Georgia has been nominated for the Best Emerging Travel Destination 2026 at the Global Travel Awards.

The London-based international travel platform organises annual awards recognising standout destinations and tourism industry leaders across multiple categories. Winners are determined through an open public vote, The Caspian Post reports, citing foreign media.

Voting for the Best Emerging Travel Destination category is currently underway and will remain open until 20 March. Supporters can cast their votes for Georgia directly on the Global Travel Awards platform.

The official awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on 25 March in London, where winners across all categories will be announced.

The nomination shows Georgia’s growing international visibility as a travel destination, reflecting increased interest in its cultural heritage, gastronomy, natural landscapes and hospitality sector.
