Georgia ranked second among foreign nationalities deported from Poland during the first half of 2026, according to data from Poland’s Ministry of Interior.

Around 10,000 foreign nationals were deported from Poland between January and June, with Ukrainian citizens accounting for the largest share, according to Sputnik Georgia.

Georgian citizens ranked second, followed by nationals of Belarus, Moldova and Colombia.

The latest figures come as Poland has tightened its approach to foreign labor migration.

During the first six months of 2026, the number of work visas issued to foreign nationals fell by almost half compared with the same period last year, reaching around 69,000.

Poland has also previously introduced stricter entry requirements for Georgian citizens seeking employment in the country.
