Heavy rainfall has caused widespread flooding in Georgia’s western Imereti region, damaging homes, roads, bridges and agricultural land.

In the Baghdati municipality, overflowing water inundated residential areas and damaged local infrastructure, while a landslide was reported in the village of Nergeti, according to Sputnik Georgia.

The severe weather has also disrupted essential services, leaving around 1,300 families without gas and 700 families without electricity.
