The body of a 15-year-old Azerbaijani teenager who had been missing for five days has been recovered from the Tbilisi Reservoir in Georgia.

Rescue teams had been searching for Azerbaijani citizen Umid Sofiyev since he disappeared while swimming in the reservoir, according to Oxu.az.

The teenager had gone to the Tbilisi Reservoir with friends. He reportedly went missing while they were swimming.

After five days of search operations, rescuers located and recovered his body from the water.

The circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been disclosed.
