Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has stated that Armenia already delivered humanitarian assistance to Iran.
Mirzoyan made these remarks during a parliamentary commission session on foreign affairs, The Caspian Post reports via Armenian media.
Answering a question from opposition MP Kristine Vardanyan, Mirzoyan clarified that the aid primarily included medical supplies.
“I want to inform you that Armenia has already sent humanitarian assistance to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Mainly, it was medications and it could not have been otherwise,” he said.
When asked why the government had not publicly announced the aid, Mirzoyan explained that officials simply did not see any need to make a separate statement.
