Iran has held its first military training course for selected women taking part in the volunteer campaign “Janfada,” meaning “Sacrifice for Iran”.
The training took place at a facility in Imam Hossein Square in Tehran, where participants received basic military instruction as part of the expanding nationwide volunteer mobilization campaign, Mehr News Agency reports.
The program is designed to provide civilians with military skills as well as training for responding to emergencies and crisis situations.
This was the first military training course specifically organized for women participating in the Janfada campaign.
Iranian authorities have been expanding the volunteer initiative as part of efforts to increase the number of civilians trained to respond to military conflicts and emergency situations.
