Iran’s nationwide internet blackout has now continued for more than 180 hours, exceeding the central duration of the shutdown imposed in 2019, according to internet monitoring organization NetBlocks on Friday.

The group announced that there has been no partial or regional restoration of internet connectivity anywhere in the country so far, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iran International.

“In 2019, it was only after connectivity was restored that the scale of the brutal crackdown became known,” it noted.
