Iran has rejected U.S. demands to stop uranium enrichment.
The position was confirmed during a high-level meeting between representatives of both countries. Tehran is unwilling to meet one of Washington’s key demands, despite ongoing diplomatic pressure, The Caspian Post reports via foreign media.
However, both sides expressed readiness to maintain dialogue and continue negotiations to reduce the risk of potential U.S. military escalation.
Iranian state media cited Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who told U.S. officials that Iran has no intention of halting uranium enrichment or removing nuclear facilities from its territory, effectively rejecting a central U.S. requirement.
