The internet blockade imposed by Iranian authorities nationwide has now entered its second month, according to the monitoring group NetBlocks, The Caspian Post reports, citing foreign media.

The disruption comes amid ongoing military tensions following a US and Israeli operation launched against Iran on February 28.

Major cities, including Tehran, were targeted in the strikes. The White House said the action was in response to alleged missile and nuclear threats posed by Iran.

In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a retaliatory campaign, targeting locations in Israel. The escalation has also seen attacks on US military bases across the region, including in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
