Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized that if the United States demonstrates readiness for a fair and balanced agreement based on mutual interests, Tehran will seriously consider the matter.

Araghchi stated that Iran has never abandoned the negotiating table, as diplomacy remains a core element of the country’s principles and approach, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iranian media.

He added that it is the United States that must return to diplomacy with the Islamic Republic by rebuilding trust.

Araghchi reiterated that the door for negotiations and mediations remains open at any time, provided that established rules are respected.

He stressed that the first principle of diplomacy is for both parties to approach negotiations with genuine intent for a fair and equal exchange. If the objective of one party is solely to impose demands, such negotiations will not succeed.

Araghchi highlighted that the main obstacle to Iran-US talks at present is the American approach, which has historically been based on imposing excessive demands. He noted that Iran has repeatedly witnessed this behavior in its interactions with the United States.
