Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Monday emphasized the need to strengthen comprehensive relations with Tajikistan, citing shared cultural and linguistic ties as a foundation for closer cooperation.
Araghchi made the remarks during a meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Tajikistan, Alireza Haghighian, where the two reviewed the latest state of bilateral relations and discussed ways to expand cooperation between Tehran and Dushanbe in various fields, The Caspian Post reports, citing IRNA.
Iran has prioritized developing relations with like-minded and culturally aligned countries, Araghchi said, stressing the importance of continued consultations to advance ties with Tajikistan.
