Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump have discussed three possible approaches to Iran during talks.

Washington is considering three scenarios: a compromise deal with Iran, continued blockade and economic pressure, or the launch of large-scale military action, Reuters reports.

Netanyahu presented Trump with several alternative options during the talks, although their details were not disclosed.

The Israeli prime minister also reportedly made clear that Israel is awaiting a final decision from Washington.

One Israeli source described Trump as the “senior partner” in the current conflict with Iran, while Netanyahu is viewed as the “junior partner.”

The latest escalation in the US-Iran conflict began on July 8. US forces carried out several rounds of strikes against targets in Iran in response to an attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, marking the first such strikes since a memorandum was signed between Washington and Tehran.
