Donald Trump said the United States could turn its attention to Cuba after addressing the situation with Iran.
Speaking at the America’s Shield Summit, Trump said the US is “looking forward to great changes” on the Caribbean island, describing the current situation there as a “catastrophe”, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
The US president said that Cuba could soon see “a wonderful new life,” adding that the country in its current form is nearing its final days. However, he stressed that Washington’s immediate focus remains on Iran.
Trump also suggested that reaching an agreement with Cuba would be relatively easy, hinting at the possibility of future negotiations once the Iran issue is addressed.
