The US is offering rewards of up to $20 million for information about Iran's nuclear program.

The initiative is being launched under the government's Rewards for Justice program, which offers financial incentives for information related to national security. Washington is also prepared to help informants relocate abroad, according to the US government's website.

US authorities are seeking information about the locations of Iran's nuclear facilities, their technical capabilities, and the movements of specialists involved in the country's weapons development activities.

The decision follows reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). In 2025, the agency reported that Iran had enriched uranium to 60%, a level approaching the 90% enrichment generally required for weapons-grade uranium.

The US statement also noted that, due to Iran's failure to meet its IAEA safeguards obligations, the agency no longer has up-to-date information on the country's nuclear material stockpiles.

The maximum standard reward under the Rewards for Justice program is $25 million, although this limit can be exceeded in exceptional circumstances.
