Azerbaijan Airlines Launches New Direct Flights to Kazakhstan’s Atyrau and Aktobe

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) is expanding its route network with new direct flights to the Kazakh cities of Atyrau and Aktobe, strengthening air connectivity between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

Tickets for both new destinations are already on sale, The Caspian Post reports via AZAL.

The first flight to Atyrau is scheduled for August 16, 2026, while Aktobe will join AZAL's network on September 16, 2026.

The Baku-Atyrau-Baku route will operate four times a week-on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Meanwhile, flights between Baku and Aktobe will be available three times a week-on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

The new services are expected to improve transport links between the two Caspian nations, making business travel more convenient while creating new opportunities for tourism and cultural exchanges.

Atyrau is one of Kazakhstan's leading oil and gas centers and a major economic hub in the Caspian region. Aktobe is an important regional city known for its strong industrial base, logistics infrastructure, and growing commercial sector.
