Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan Boost Trade with Port Dredging Deal

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are teaming up to enhance their Caspian Sea ports with dredging operations, creating a new joint venture to boost regional transport and logistics.

The Azerbaijan Transport and Communication Holding (AZCON) and Samruk-Kazyna Invest signed a shareholder agreement to acquire a dredging vessel and establish the joint venture, The Caspian Post reports via Azerbaijani Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev's message on Facebook following a meeting with Chairman of the Board of “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC Nurlan Zhakupov visiting Baku.

“The meeting covered the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in transport and logistics, as well as the goals of the joint dredging project in Azerbaijani and Kazakh ports,” Nabiyev noted.
