Footage of military equipment moving through Zhylyoi District in Atyrau Region has circulated on social media, prompting an official response from the Kazakh Ministry of Defense.

The ministry confirmed that the movement of air defense units, including by rail, is part of routine training exercises, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

“Currently, we are working on improving unit mobility, coordination, and readiness to perform assigned tasks, including protecting key facilities and regions,” the statement said.

Officials emphasized that such exercises are a regular part of Armed Forces training and follow approved plans. The ministry urged media outlets and social media users to rely only on official sources and avoid spreading unverified information.
