A fire erupted at a unit of Kazakhstan's Tengiz Oilfield third-generation plant on March 12 evening, but was swiftly brought under control.
The operator, Tengizchevroil, confirmed the incident and said no injuries were reported. The company is investigating the cause but declined to provide further details, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The fire comes just a day after Tengiz oilfield crude production resumption was announced, marking a quick follow-up to the field’s operational restart.
