Grand Ceremony Marks Serbian President’s Arrival in Kazakhstan

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić arrived in Astana on February 26 for an official visit at the invitation of Kazakhstan’s Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

An official ceremony is underway at Akorda Presidential Palace, where the Guard of Honor lined up in the Ceremonial Hall, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The Presidential Orchestra performed the national anthems of both countries, followed by a formal inspection of the honor guard. Tokayev and Vučić then proceeded along the carpet to the State Flag of Kazakhstan before heading to a narrow-format meeting.

Strengthening Ties

During the visit, leaders are scheduled to discuss:

Enhancing political dialogue

Expanding trade and economic cooperation

Promoting cultural and humanitarian ties

A Strong Partnership

Serbia has been a close and reliable partner of Kazakhstan in the Balkans. Over 30 years of diplomatic relations, the countries have built friendly ties based on respect, trust, and mutually beneficial cooperation. In 2025, trade turnover reached over $107 million, marking a 7.6% increase from the previous year.
